Build the finance function from zero.

As we move from early-stage to scale-up, we're hiring our first Finance Lead to build and own the entire finance function - from clean books and cash visibility to investor reporting and financial modeling.

Role overview

This isn't a role where you inherit a clean system and maintain it. You'll be the one creating it. Reporting to the COO, you'll work directly with the founders and leadership team - owning everything from day-to-day payments and bookkeeping to the financial models that support our board meetings. Structured enough to build process, fast enough to keep up with a company moving at our pace.

Key responsibilities

1. FP&A & financial modeling

• Own the operating model, scenario planning, and board-level financial narrative. Build models that are actually used to make decisions.

2. Cash flow & runway management

• Real-time visibility into burn, runway, and financial health across our European and US operations.

3. Payments, accounting & bookkeeping

• Own vendor payments, client invoicing, and coordination with external accountants. Ensure clean books and compliance across our entities.

4. Investor reporting & fundraise support

• Own the data room, financial schedules, and investor-facing materials. Be the person who makes due diligence seamless.

5. FinOps & spend governance

• Build and enforce spend governance as we scale headcount. Cloud infrastructure, contractors, tooling - full visibility and controls.

Who you are

• You have 3–5 years of finance experience and are ready to own a function for the first time.

• You've built financial models that were actually used to make decisions - not just formatted for slides.

• You're automation-minded: you use tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or no-code platforms to eliminate manual work.

• You're comfortable with ambiguity and can structure your own priorities without being managed closely.

• You communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders - founders, investors, clients.

• You've worked at a high-growth startup or scale-up, ideally in tech, fintech, or AI.
